Just Plum Tuckered Out

Probably the single most important secret to surviving life with multiples...

Keeping a schedule!

Whenever the babies are off their schedule they tend to get restless, whiny, cranky, and worse.  But sometimes it just can't be helped.  This weekend we visited with Mimi and Big Daddy.  They had a ball playing with the trio while Kurt and I went to a friend's 30th birthday party.  And for the most part we stuck to the schedule but all the extra attention and activity just wore the trio out.  These pics were snapped on the drive back to Newnan.  Such precious sleepy faces!

Sunday is Fun Day!

Today we hosted a Castles and Crowns party at our house (very nice children's clothes) and it was a great excuse to get some friends together for a play-date.  In addition to the trio, we also had 1 1/2 year old Bennett, 10 month old Kayli, and 3 year old Emily.  The kids played really well together.  It makes me want to have more play-dates for the kiddos!

Our little chatterbox

I've always heard that girls begin talking earlier than boys.  And nobody proves it better than our little Sarah.  Her brothers say a few things here and there and babble quite a bit but Sarah is that star student.  She tries to say EVERYTHING we say, whether it's good or not.  I've decided to use the blog to make a list of things she says.  It really is quite precious to hear her words.

Things Sarah says:

MaMa, DaDa, Mommy, Nana, Nanny, hi, bye, no, yeah/yes, up, yummy yummy (nummy nummy), belly, baby, nose, eyes, bear, kitty, doggy, Lady, Thank you (tank ooo), banana (a-nana), apple (appa), ball, shoes, uh-oh, oh-no, sit, good girl, & good boy.

I'm sure there are more but that is all my tired brain can recall at the moment.  I love to hear my little chatty cathy!

Rub a dub dub, 3 in the tub!

Last weekend Kurt's dad took some cute pics of the kiddos "hamming" it up in the bath.  They are just too cute not to share.  Enjoy!

Nana's Big Surprise!

A few weeks ago at our professional photo shoot, the triplets got to play with a giant stuffed bear.  They absolutely loved it!  So when my mom (Nana) was out shopping a few days later and saw one for sale, she knew she just had to get it for the kids.  Today, she brought it down to show them.  They love it!  We're going to let them play with it for a day or two and then put it up for Christmas.  So they got a great surprise today and will get it again on Christmas morning.

The Tuck

The coolest thing I've noticed lately about the triplets is that they are starting to really understand questions we ask or commands we give them.  Not that they OBEY said commands but they understand.  I can tell them to "bring me..." or "go show your daddy..." and they know what I want.  For the past month or two we ask Sarah at night if she "wants to be tucked in".  She likes to be tucked in so she lays down in her crib and waits to be covered up.  We also tuck her fox or bunny in right beside her.  The boys haven't really shown much interest in this until a few days ago.  Now they too want to be "tucked in".  It is the sweetest thing.  Although usually they bounce right up in their cribs and the "tuck" doesn't last.  But for that brief moment, they are our little snuggle bugs.
