Busy Little Bees

The weather is getting warmer. The flowers are blooming and the bees are starting to buzz. And we have 3 little busy bees at our house buzzing from room to room and getting into EVERYTHING! Still no walking yet but they are getting awfully close. All 3 are now pulling up and doing some independent standing. Lucas still appears to be the closest one to taking his first steps. But only time will tell. Right now they are all still content to crawl at lightning speed. They have no trouble getting to whatever it is they see and want. They are still very intrigued by the cat and dog food bowls. I've managed to intercept them the few times they've gotten into the bowls but I just know sooner or later one of them is actually going to eat some cat or dog food. Bleh!Another new development is that the trio is now eating from their highchairs twice per day. In the morning they still get a bottle and then some cereal or fruit. Now at lunch they get milk in a sippy cup as well as a prepared lunch. In the evening, they again get a sippy cup and a prepared meal. Some of the lunch/dinner foods the triplets eat are: lunch meat, cheese, hotdogs, avocado, carrots, green beans, bananas, oranges, pineapple, applesauce, Gerber Pasta Pick-ups, goldfish crackers, etc. We even gave them some pot roast, potatoes, and carrots that we made for ourselves in the crock-pot. Before bed, the trio gets one last bottle. Our pediatrician is pushing us to get the kids off the bottle completely. We're making progress but not perfect yet. Some of my friends took their baby's bottle away at 9 months. So we may be a little behind the curve, but we'll get there. I'd like to see my pediatrician deal with feeding 3!

So far the highchairs work well, but I wish we had one of those big triplet tables like my friend Annette has. She has hers up for sale but I can't really buy it right now because I have no way to get it to Newnan. She lives in Orlando! Speaking of Florida, plans are underway for our annual trip to PCB over Memorial Day. Last year, the trio was 4 1/2 months old. This year they will be 16 1/2 months. What a difference that will be. More to come on that...
