Welcome to the Club Meredith

What club is that, you ask? Well the mommy club of course. Yesterday (Sunday) my good friend Meredith delivered a 5lb. 10oz. healthy baby boy. They named him William. And with that our mommy club's membership grows by one. William arrived a few weeks early but luckily just a week ago we celebrated his impending arrival with a baby shower. I was encouraged to bring the triplets to the shower as all the other Deephers would have their babies in tow. In theory this sounded like a good idea but in actuality it just meant total chaos for me. I must be crazy to think I can leave the house alone with all 3! I barely got to sample any of the snacks at the shower and have no idea what gifts Meredith received. I was too busy juggling my brood. But it was fun to introduce the triplets to all the gals and babies they've never met. I finally got to meet Meej's baby Jacob who was born around the same time as the triplets. The first picture is the somewhat organized group of D Phi E sisters and our babies.

The 2nd picture is all the sisters with the kids who were less than patient with our picture taking.

And finally, a great moment with Meej holding my Jacob and I holding her Jacob. Although it was chaotic. It was a fun day!

Please Vote for Sarah!!!

http://949thebull.clearcontests.com/front/Image_Contest.asp?Action=New&sh=1&ftt=1&SurveyID=81864&zx=580

We entered Sarah in the "Cutest Baby Girl in Atlanta" contest. I have been emailing and facebooking my friends and family like crazy asking for everyone's votes. It seems funny as we are waste deep in election primaries and such anyway. I feel like I'm campaigning for my own candidate. The link to vote is listed above and Sarah is at the top on page 12 (or around there if they shuffle the pics). Please vote, vote, vote! Thanks!

Little Kiss

So for the past few days Jake has been perfecting his Gene Simmons impression. I'm not sure exactly when his "little Kiss" try-out is, but given how much he's been doing it, I'd guess it is pretty soon. We'll keep everyone posted.

The end of an era

Today we made the decision to finish our last Pampers Swaddler Diapers size 2-3. It's time to break out the Pampers Cruiser size 3 diapers. This may not sound like much but we are forever putting away the fact that our babies need to be swaddled and held. Now they are rolling all over the place and need room to "cruise'. They are growing so fast. Over the next few months there will be sippy cups and crawling and big boy and girl things. They are just growing so fast. I want to keep them my little munchkins forever. Oh well time will march on whether I want it to or not.

6 Month Pictures

On Saturday we took the kiddos to Portrait Innovations. We had such a ball having their pictures made. Even they photographer commented on how good the babies were. My little munchkins made me so proud. The pics came out great! There are more on my facebook page but these are the coolest since they are collages. Enjoy!

My girly girl

Little Sarah already has her finger on the pulse of fashion at just 6 months old. I have a feeling she is going to be a girly girl complete with dresses, earrings, and of course bows. A friend's wife gave me some tips on getting her ears pierced too. We will probably do that after I get back from my trip to Michigan. For now, enjoy some pics of Sarah modeling her bows. Is she cute or what?!?! We're taking the triplets' 6 month professional pics tomorrow. I'm super excited!

Half Birthday!

Yesterday was the triplets' half birthday! Six months ago I was in the hospital still reeling from the birth of our sweet miracles. Now we are having all kinds of fun! The babies are smiling and laughing. Luke and Sarah are both rolling over (Jake is getting close!) now. We put the babies on a blanket on the floor and they actually play now. We are pretty sure they are teething because they are drooling and putting everything in their mouths. As for mealtime, they are still eating 4 bottles of breastmilk/formula per day plus rice cereal in the morning and either fruits or veggies for dinner. So far they like every fruit and veggie we've offered. This Saturday we take them for their 6 month professional pictures. I can't wait to compare them to their 3 month pics. I'll have to post the comparisons then. In 2 weeks we go to the pediatrician for their 6 month check up. I can't wait to see how much they really weigh. According to our scale at home Sarah weighs 16lbs 7ozs, Jake weighs 19lbs 13ozs, & Luke weighs 17lbs 10ozs. They are all such sweet chunkers! I'm not sure how accurate our scales are but they probably aren't that far off. We shall see! For now, enjoy some pics we took on their half birthday. Only 6 more months to go til the triplets' first birthday!

Roly Poly

For the past few weeks my 3 little munchkins have been rolling from their backs and onto their sides. Today my little Lucas was the trailblazer and rolled all the way over onto his tummy. Twice! This is the pic I took. He looked so proud of himself. We were all so proud of him too! I just know Sarah and Jake will be doing it soon too. They are so close!
